I was wondering if anyone that has the utopia backrest will comment on its size. Their website says the dimensions are 12 x 9". That's the size of a box of Cheerios. I want a backrest and understand options are limited but there are a few. Who has one and either likes or doesn't like it and why?

That was one of the things I learned while researching. I was going to go with a Corbin. I liked the gunfighter and would have bought one if it would have had the backrest option. The 2up seat they have can't be any better than my stock seat redone by Mean City. Adding the Utopia is gravy I hope.

Yeah I don't understand why they don't offer a backrest option with the gunfighter. I would have tried the meancity option but my bike is my only ride and I just couldn't have that much downtime waiting for the seat to get back to me. About to do a 600 mile ride on my corbin, this will be the real test.

I installed the utopia back rest. It took less than an hour to adjust it while riding to find the sweet spots. I was out for 3 hours last night. By the time I was getting close to home I was convinced it was worth it and very nice. Once I got home I almost fell over trying to dismount. I'm back to its just way too large. The quality is nice and it seems like quality work. I'm thinking about modifying the pad down to size. Otherwise it is great to have on the bike.

Do you have any pics with it installed? I might be interested in switching back to stock seat to make this work.

Here are some pictures. It is quality work. I just don't know if I like how big it is and I will have to relearn how to mount and dismount with it on the bike.
