Windshield Adjustment

I have the OEM Honda windshield bracket with a SlipStreamer 17" windshield. I have the bottom edge of the windshield about 1/4" above the headlight assembly. My windshield is close because I raised the bars up before I put on a windshield. Just wondering what others have theirs set at and if higher, the advantage for it to be higher.
