So...the day is drawing near. It will be warm enough here next week. I will be riding down to Honda PowerSports on my Victory, leaving it there as a trade, and riding home on my new 2014 Valkyrie.
The Valk is black. But it has chrome mirrors.
My Vic has pretty black mirrors!
I'd like to take those black mirrors off the Vic, and swap them for the silver ones that come with the Valk.

Anybody know? Are they going to fit?

All right then. That settles it. I'm taking my Victory's mirrors with me when I make the trade next week.

BTW, your Valk is totally cool - all blacked out. My Victory Gunner is blacked - mirrors, headlight bucket, exhaust pipes, bars, and all.
Man...I hate to let her go. Wish I had room for 3 bikes!!!

The black pipes on your Valk look terrific. So, do they give her a little more boost? Did you modify the intake and EFI? Stage 1?

The pipes are made by Rush with 2.25" baffles. They sound even better than the OEM pipes. Gives me a Ferrari type of sound during acceleration and then quiets right down when the throttle is leveled out. The cats were removed and replace with Torq Loopz. This was done to eliminate the droning sound at higher rpms. They don't give me much, if any, more power. I mainly did it to get the exhaust past my bags, so that they wouldn't melt when I get stuck in traffic.

Nothing was modified to the intake, or the EFI. The computer relearned and it ran great.

There is a module that you can get that will let you adjust stuff, but I wasn't interested in that. The bike is quick and fast enough for me.

So many pre-owned cruisers

I tried to trade in my Kingpin. They would not offer me anything. I was looking at a 2018 Gold Wing when I found the Valkyrie for $11,300+. Thanks for not wanting a Victory DeLand Honda. I got to keep both. You can see my old Val mirror in the pic.

What a pity that the quality and value of your Vic was not appreciated.
You and I both know that Victory made terrific, durable, sweet-running motorcycles.

As for me, the dealer offered me $5100 for my 2015 Gunner, in a trade for the Valk, which I'm getting for only $9,999. At first, I considered the offer a bit low, because my Gunner is truly gorgeous. I've done a lot of work on her, and made her faster and prettier. Kelly Blue Book trade value for a stock, 2015 Gunner is $5,750.
So...I listed my Gunner on Craigslist for $6300. Wow! There are SO MANY pre-owned cruisers advertised there!

I've had some interest, and received a few offers from some lowballers.
I know that if I want to hold on for a while, I will get close to what I'm asking.
My local Victory dealer is going to lake a look later this week.
I'll be asking 6 thousand.
And I think I'll get pretty close.
If not, I will just trade it.
It seems to me that there are SO MANY pre-owned motorcycles for sale, that nobody is getting book value these days.
Thoughts, anyone?

When I traded my 99 Valk in on a 2014 model, the dealership didn't want the Ultimate seat and would have preferred the original pipes instead of the Cobras I had on it. Couldn't understand why, but now I have a complete 4 piece set Ultimate seat with rain covers that I will have to get rid of eventually.

Yes, I know what you mean.
Dealers tend to prefer motorcycles that are "pure."

All of the upgrades I did on my Victory were Victory's own "Performance" equipment (exhaust, windscreen, highway bars, luggage rack), or genuine Arlen Ness equipment (side covers, grips).
Arlen Ness was a pioneer in motorcycle styling, and was a major influence in the development of Victory motorcycles.
This is one of the reasons I do not expect much difficulty selling/trading my Vic.
It's friggin gorgeous.
