I was envious of all that space I'm missing out on by not having a trunk, so I decided to install one!
I was particularly interested in the VIP trunk that use2be has so I checked Amazon and eBay for one. Unfortunately, neither would ship to Hawaii (One of the many cons of living off of the mainland.) The only one I found, that was available through Amazon prime and didn't offend my eyes, was the Autoinbox motorcycle trunk.
It's definitely not my top choice. I would have preferred a gloss black hardcase that matched the black of my Valkyrie, but beggers can't be choosers. Also it isn't rock solid but at $112 what can you really expect.
I had to drill two holes in the mounting plate to match the Honda luggage rack but it was a pretty easy install overall. I still have to tap in to the brake lights as well, but I am currently trying to decide between having running lights or brake lights as I can't have both with this trunk.
I hope some of you can chime in on what's better. I am leaning towards running lights as I feared being rear ended by a speeder at night. Also, if anyone can chime in on where you guys tapped in from. I haven't actually taken a look, but I'm sure there are wires I can tap in to under the seat.
