Honda never makes public that kind of info so you'll never know. I'm quite sure they produced a lot more units than they did of the Rune.
They expected it to appeal to people who wanted a big, fast cruiser but didn't want all the extra stuff on a goldwing.
They also thought it might appeal to those in the sportbike crowd who were ready to migrate to a cruiser but didn't want to look like they were on an old man's bike.
I'm disappointed they discontinued this model, I love mine and hope they'll try again by the time I get ready to retire this one.
