I believe about a year ago I predicted features the next generation Gold Wind would include. I said 4 valves per cylinder and a 6 speed gear box.

Well, the new 2018 has both of those features plus an optional 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. All new frame, 90 lbs lighter. Will there be a next generation Valkyrie? Probably not based on sales of the current generation. But if so, it could be a real beast!

No mention yet on hp/torque numbers. But the 4 valve per cylinder should allow better breathing on top for increased performance.

Worth noting the standard Goldwing is more like the outgoing F6B. The Goldwing Tour is more like the outgoing standard GoldWing.

A new model valkyrie with that newly improved front suspension would look really funky. Its great they improved handling with that design but I would still like the look of forks for a cruiser.

But I agree a new valkyrie would be cool. I wonder if they will do it for the overseas market if it sells better there?

I do like the new Goldwing, but I will have mine paid off in the spring and I don't see myself getting into another bike payment.
In 5 or 6 years down the road, if my wife decides to stop riding her Spyder, then we may pick up a newer style Wing. It definitely won't be new, but we will be able to pick up a good used one by then. Until that time, my Valk will suite me just fine.
