2014 Black Valkyrie. 1220 miles on the odometer when I left.
Made it home safe and sound last night(OCT 24, 2016). 4108 miles in 20 days and numerous memories made. Had a wonderful time, except for being sick. I guess it is cold and flu season.
Honda ran like a well oiled clock. Just as I would expect a Honda to run. 75 to 82 the whole way. Passed a few and was passed by a few more. Surprisingly saw very few bikers on the road. Less than a dozen total. Maybe getting too cold except for the diehard bikers to ride.
And saw fewer cops. Other than accidents, probably less than 6 in my whole trip. Not sure why so few.
After some calculations I came up with the following..
Spent $223.6 on fuel. Avg 2.17 a gallon. = 40.6 mpg avg
I spent 204 dollars on food for the trip.
I only spent two nights in a hotel. Other times was with friends, relatives or a table in a rest stop.
I had only 6 hard driving days avg 515 miles a day. Ther rest of the mileages was in 100 mile trips visiting friends and places.
I am home now, have been for 3 weeks and I am restless. I would love to go again on a new trip. But alas, I can't. Too many things to do on the homefront.
