Something to cry about

In case you need something to cry about, here's what's left after Valkyrie vs Arkansas White Tail Doe. Valk about 50mph, not sure the doe's speed... Before you ask -riding 2up, nobody hurt, bike was incredibly stable, didn't go down.

That's incredible that much damage om both sides and you didn't go down Good job.
100% credit to the bike - and good fortune. All happened too fast for me to influence the outcome. Fortunately we hit the doe squarely and outweighed her sevenfold. The Valkyrie never fluttered.

A quick buff job should fix her up. :)

Glad to hear everyone is ok.
I'm guessing the deer didn't fair so well?
Glad everyone is alright!! Someone's guardian angel was working overtime.

I'm impressed your Valk took the impact and damage without a loss of control.

Let's hope your insurance company takes care of the repairs to your satisfaction.
First estimate over $10K. Not sure if insurance will total. I'd go with the "quick buff job", but I doubt I'll sanction $10K in repairs. At least, not for my daily ride.

The doe has joined the "deerly" departed.
It's the nature of the modern motorcycle: plastic and aluminum. I'll be surprised if they don't total it with a $10k estimate. That's more than half MSRP
Ouch!!!! Yeah I'd say they'll probably total it. They likely pay out around 12k if it's a total loss.
Well $12,000 is enough to buy a new Valkyrie...... well minus whatever you're upside down in on your original price since those unfortunate to buy early paid about 20% more than everyone else
Well, I already replaced the bike, no way I'm four wheeling the month of August, waiting for an insurance company to decide when I ride. Twelve or thirteen would be the magic number. Should they pay repair costs instead, then I might have a sweet street fighter in the works...
I thinking you got another F6C?
Is there anything else? Nobody told me there was a choice...

Anyways, I found what I believe is my best deal on blue '14. I heard awhile back that blue Valks are the fastest. So far, I agree :)
Hopefully, the deer will see the blue valk, and stear clear of you. They sure as heck didn't see you on the black one :) With the slower blue one the dear will be there before you are now. :)
I think it might be the guys setting on the blue one that make them faster. I've already had two people in the last month try to run me over by changing lanes. And one old lady pull straight across my path at a neighborhood intersection. Stood on those horns and scared the piss out of her. I thought she was going to crawl into the passenger's seat. ☺ Virginia Beach drivers have got to be the worst I've ever had to share a road with. Maybe because they are all from somewhere else.

"slower blue?" - Challege accepted! :)

Things like that will make me not like you :nerd:
