I've been looking for information on the possibility of modifying the throttle twist range. With most bikes, I can turn the throttle grip to full in one motion. With this bike, on the rare occasion I might want full throttle, I have to either start with my wrist up high, or re-grip the throttle to obtain WFO. Or, drop my elbow so low that I probably look like I'm at the salt flats when I fly by someone.
I remember somebody made aftermarket throttle pulleys, usually to slow the initial throttle jerkiness off-idle present in some bikes.
Surely there's some way to open it all the way with one big handful of throttle? Maybe a ramped up area on the cable pulley??
Thanks.

Back in the 70's (yeah another back in the day story) we used to buy Gunner Gasser 1/4 turn throttles like motocross racers used. Probably some equivalent in today's market. I'd bet Honda put this long throw cable on here to somewhat control sudden and scary acceleration from a motor with this much torque. At least for a novice rider. Since it does not have throttle by wire they have to address it mechanically.

Are you sure the twist range is actually a problem? I know I thought the same when I got the bike but I don't need that extra throttle so it doesn't bother me. I don't mean I don't want any more power, I mean that extra crazy bit doesn't seem to do a great deal anyway that I have noticed and the extra twist long ago dropped off the concern list for me.
