Possible sissybar for sale

4780 Views 11 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Rich Wentz
I purchased a sissybar and installed it a few months back but now looking to put a trunk on the bike. The trunk I want I can't use the sissybar and need to buy the parcel carrier bracket.
Would anyone be interested in buying my sissybar. It's basically new.
Or if anyone wants a sissybar and has a parcel carrier bracket I'll consider trading with a little money.. PM if interested

RW, do you have part number and pricing for the parcel carrier bracket? does it bolt up direct to those fender horns? or does it require additional structure pieces?.

my Viking box arrived this week , 2 day ship out of Chicago area. it is a very nice box for little coin. now how to attach it to the bike. ? poncho

I bought the accessory bars for the parcel plate so I can bolt the trunk directly to the OEM plate. Bolts on to the grab rails like the sissy bar does. . Im just waiting for my trunk. UPS did a hiccup and lost it.
Can you post some pics of that trunk?

I would post pix if I could get them from my phone to my 'puter. haven't had any success with this set up. and then there is that whole file size issue.

but I did fabricate some brackets with 1" alum L channel. it is temporary till I can order the right stuff. I don't have part numbers or where to search?

the box is very nice and is quite big in perspective to the tail of this sled. Capacity is twice the volume of Vikings standard bags, which I find a bit small.
I have them on my Scout and they are great for 1-2 day rides. but the scout in not my traveler. I am pressing this Valk into travel service come August. 5k miles 10-15 days, situation depending.
https://www.vikingbags.com/viking-premium-leather-wrapped-hard-trunk btw, memorial day sale 25% off this trunk is now $262. plus shipping

I ordered a new LED headlamp and am fitting a full size batwing to the now naked front forks.
the radiator wings are boxed and I will be fab'ing new rad shrouds when the batwing is finished.

I want to integrate large jumbo tsukayu bags into the fender area but that also requires re work of the rear fender. but that is not top of my todo list.
so this project just meanders much like my riding. I have general idea of what I want it to look like and work. how I get there might be the long back road. poncho

ps. I ship all my stuff to my shop biz address. UPS only loses residential packages.

Install is cake. 4 bolts, 4 spacers into the back of the grab rails. Hardest part is taking the seat off.Only took half a beer....lol But if you have the oem saddlebag brackets it can be a pain in the butt but I did it with only 2 beers.

I'll get a pic up soon. It's spotless.

Here's the pics. Sissy bar and spacers with bolts sealed. They're from my parcel rack which is the identical hardware for the sissybar. It's cherry. I just wanted a trunk..
