Naked as a Jbird: I can definitely see the attraction.
gp, sometimes you gotta get nekid b4 you can get dressed. that is one perty lil moped. but its only a two banger. Ive had plenty nuff of them head shakers. 6 hardleys, 4 goosers, 4 kawis, 4 yammers, 3 zooks, a couple ******, a small dozen Honey badgers, and a partridge in a pear tree.. there be some missing, but have ridden plenty more..
what your missing is that I have plenty of stock machines to ride, I buy these things cheap so I can cut them up and make them, well more,, mine..
this particular smooth as silk 6 nipped babe will get bagged b4 shes done. at least on this iteration. I go about it different than most guys just want to bolt on hang schitt off their sleds. I tend to have some vision of where I want to go and need to get all the factory trash out of my way. I box up all the parts stripped off and do my best not to bugger the bones so it can go back stock if ever I want to. Often after a year or two of a particular style, whatever project bike I'm working on will take a turn and look something more like that bar hopper you posted.
this is what I call wrench therapy. for those that are timid to go there with their flagship machines, I recommend getting a beater bike and just take it down to the bones and put it back together. It is not so much the work you do it is the work you become.. Man does the work, the work makes the man. ponchout

Fit, Form, Function. just some aspects of these extensions of our ego. Simplicity has its place. air cooled machines have served us for centuries. There are limits of performance in every window of operations, often referred to as the sweet spot. Air cooled ice motors can only do so much, so they are relegated to the scrap heap of history and the few exotics in the world of cu$tom$.
Power is purely a function of fuel and efficiency in extracting all the heat/mechanical energy out of it. Atmospheric aspirated motors, old school “no replacement for Displacement”. meaning bigger motor = more fuel = more power. aka inefficiency.
New skool, smaller motor, higher compression, faster rpm, pressurized air and fuel = more efficient burn = more power = more heat management required. liquid cooled are more complex motors. More complex = more maintenance = more failures.
Hence, ‘Lectric motors are our future. Simple and Powerful. Fewer components. Less things to go tittsup, less maint. 10x power per lb.
need to get the cost down and the range recharge up. Only the big boys can make enuff for this to happen. If Japan won’t, China will

"This rotating rod will grab fishing line and so on." - DP

Yeah, but it really pays homage to the original, just like the reverse-hinge brake/clutch levers. I think it's beautiful. So was the original. And the details, like the headlight... very simple, very nice. I'd love to have one in my garage.

don't see no plastic... why would i want one? This rotating rod will grab fishing line and so on.
dp, no plastic on your girl? do you prefer the blow up kind or just filled with silly putty? and if your letting your fish pole hang loose dangling off the side of your scooter, its gonna get caught up in the belt or chain or in the spokes. that is gotta hurt..

I really like it and would like to own one. This one however, is for those guys like hd hardnoses.those who love bmw’s and the cylinder heads in the way is no different than the hardly guys who endure all the silly vibrations.

I’m not willing to spend money for the brand. I don’t want to spend my hard earned $$ just so folks can ooh and ahh over metal and steel in my way.
