Painted wheels

Has anyone painted or power coated their wheels?
I think the black wheels look ok but I am not a big fan.
I have a 2015 red so I am thinking about painting them silver or gray.
I my black F6B I replaced the black wheels with polished aluminum wheels and I love the way they look.
I guess I like chrome.

while reading your post I thought bad Idea. But I like the looks of them on your F6b. My Valk is black so the black rims look good.
I have always loved black wheels but I tend to ride in some interesting place. The polished rims on the B looks great though! **** it you got me thinking :)

I did see a set of chromed wheels for a 1800 Valkyrie on eBay last summer. They were going for pretty good coin though, @ $2000, but if you got your own chromed it should be a lot cheaper.

I have painted my lower forks, powder coated my valve covers, front cover and several other items. Don't see why you couldn't do the wheels. I did see one guy that powder coated his wheels red. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own.

There is a paint on chrome that I have seen on Youtube that works pretty slick. You might be interested in that. Not sure how tough it is, but I am sure it is as tough any other paint.

I used to love polished or chrome wheels... Until I realized I spent more time cleaning those [email protected] than riding. It's why I like the Valk and the Goldwings. Designed to be ridden and polished when you feel like it. Honda did their research on these.... Sorry if I sound like a buzzkill....

BTW LOVE THAT FB6...

I ride over 10,000 miles a year and I keep my bikes clean. The polished wheels on my F6B are easy to keep clean I wax them 2-3 times a year.
On the Valkyrie I'm thinking about painting them or power coating silver.
I do think it looks fine with the black wheels but thinking it might look better with silver.
I know black wheels on everything is HOT right now.
Does anyone know if our wheels are power coated or painted?
They are definitely powder coated.
Thanks I don't think you can paint over powder coat or can you?
Sorry I was saying power coat instead of powder, I bad.
