Wish I had got the sissy bar that's for sure....
I can't provide first hand knowledge of the blvd screen, but I did see one at the service area at the dealer the other day. I asked the service manager (who also rides a valk) if he had heard how well the small screen does. He said the other customer wasn't too impressed but it did move the wind up in the body. Really seems like it is more for looks to me. I can't see where it would do much. After just reading about the scarcity of the taller OEM screen, which I have but don't use right now, I wondered about the potential scarcity of the BLVD screen. Two questions:
1) Does anyone know if it's a similar situation to the taller screen, "if you want one, buy it now"? I bought my '14 with the taller screen already mounted, but put it away as I don't really like screens all the time. If I have any answers to Question #2 that cause me to be interested, I'll just go ahead and get it.
2) Is the BLVD lower screen effective at all, and if so, for what? Anyone who has been riding with one on, I'd really like to hear if it's more for aesthetics or effectiveness.
Thanks!
Please post your impressions of it once you've had a chance to put some miles behind it. I don't want to get one if it's only an aesthetic. Trying not to add weight pointlessly. Thanks, and hope you end up liking it.I did just order the BLVD screen and did not have any trouble finding it on ebay. As to part 2 of your question, I don't know how effective it is going to be - but I am anxious to find out. I might have just wasted $200, but.......I thought if it isn't effective enough, perhaps I will add one of those Puig or MRA spoilers to the top of it and see what happens. I saw some pictures elsewhere of that set up.
