Hi guys,
I plan to pick up a new 14 or 15 at a dealer 90 miles south tomorrow if the weather clears. Kinda like the blacked out Blue, but like the idea of a 15 which is only in Candy Red. Figured I would decide down there. Same price, $9500 (no fees) + tax and tag. They also show a Black 14 and a deep Red 14 that is also blacked out? I know ABS only came in Black, but were ALL Black 14's ABS? They have that black 14 for the same price but don't identify it as ABS so I thought I'd ask youse guys. I currently have an 06 VTX 1300, with 2 dozen+mods + cobra pipes, tsukayu hard bags, qr windshield, etc. etc. etc. I bought it stock in 09 with 3k miles, and also have an old 250 yamaha enduro, both of which I'll keep. Just always had an itch for an 1800X, so now I'll scratch it with a V. It pays to be patient right? I like the idea of only a few available mods too. I seldom met one I didn't like! I'm in NC and just wanted to say hello, hopefully sign on tomorrow eve with a Pic. Cheers

No, I thought the ABS was a model so to speak and only came in black from what I gather. Adding ABS to an existing model would likely be a bit costly. But the ABS model was about 1k more from what I have heard.No, ABS is an add-on and bikes with ABS generally cost about $1k extra.

IF you are doing cash, you might be able to negotiate.....even if your are not you still should try. Local guy went to North West PA here and got a new one for 8k plus TTL.

Not all black bikes had ABS and ABS was available on other colours as well, just not in the US. In the US, the only ABS bikes available were black. In Canada and other countries, the ABS was available in all three colours. Unlike the full wing, the brakes on the ABS Valkyrie are not linked.
Thanks for the replies. They only had a sold 2015 on site last week. Two more come in Tuesday and have to be built. I want the 14 Black and Blue. Chomping at the bit.

I picked up my blacked out blue this morning and by the time I got home it was black and blur. Spent all evening looking online trying to figure out which windscreen to get. I think I'm going to go with something cheap in case I don't like it and have to get a different one. So I think I'll go with the slipstreamer BW 15 with the MRA blacked-out Hardware and the 2-inch Rox risers. Certainly a lot smoother and snappier ride than my VTX 1300 r. The torque is unbelievable, but I do miss the sound of my Cobra pipes. I put about a hundred and twenty-five miles on it today. Sure seems like a good bargain at less than 10K
The Slipstreamer website doesn't show the BW 15 fitting the Valkyrie. How are you planning on making it work? I would consider doing the same thing, but I don't want to get into a major modification nightmare.
The thread titled "Added Slipstream windshield today" under active topics will answer your questions. I ordered the 18" because Sensei noted he was looking over the top of it at 5'8" tall. I called SlipStreamer and ordered through them so I could get the tint added to a shield with no hrdw incl and no pre-drilled mounting holes. Make sure you get the right size MRA bracket (7/8 - 1").
I hope you enjoy it! Makes me remember the day that I pick mine up, I didn’t ride home but I trailered it home and sit in my shop and just looked at it and admired it the rest of the day.
