Hi everyone, I signed up a week ago just to get some more info and do a bit of research on this bike as my potential next bike the next year or two. I got bit by the upgrade bug badly. I ended up closing a deal this weekend on my new leftover 2014 blue Valkyrie. I'm very excited about this bike and can't wait to do some long rides on it.

I come from a Kawasaki 900 custom Vulcan. It was a great bike but I just felt the need for more power and comfort. Hope my pic went through.

Thanks! I'm totally in love with this bike. Trying to get the break in miles over with so I can open it up! The power is insane and I'm still taking it easy. Such an easy bike to ride, shifting 1 to 2 takes some getting used to. I'm down in the silver spring area.

Congrats! How much did you end up paying for it?

$11,200 Out the door (MD tax) with .7 Miles on it. There's probably better deals out there considering its about to be 4 year old leftover stock in a few months. I'm happy with my transaction. I got my choice in color and I didn't have to drive far to get it.

Pricing is regional, I could have gotten a better price at cedar creek power sports but they sold their last one 2 days before I asked about it. It would have been a 13 hr drive one way to save a few hundred:eek::eek:

I'm happy with the price I paid considering MD dealers don't really give the deepest discounts. It was 50 minutes from my house and I was in and out of the dealership in about 30 minutes. Handled everything through email.

I almost did the same thing up at Pete's in Baltimore. They had two blue Valks listed, and I really liked the look of the blue and black out. When I went in, both blues were sold, but they had a used Black for $9800 w/ 1k miles. I almost bit on that one before I came across the one in Texas. I decided, "what the ****...road trip sounds fun!" :)

@ssmd and @odentonValkyrie, I'm glad to see that there 2 other Valkyrie owners/riders in Md, but if you guys (get together for a ride) PLEASE hit me up because I'm in Columbia and I'm tired of riding with "dem Harley riders, sport bike riders or alone!!!! All Honda dealerships should give Valkyrie buyers a card with this fourms information because I rode my M109r for 14 months before I even met another 9 rider. I hope the site/fourm activity picks up some as the weather gets colder. BTW, the M109 rider I met in 2007 became a very good friend...even to this day.

I loved the 9 and almost bought one until I met the Valk. :) If I ever went back to a v-twin, it's the only one on the market I'd consider. Honestly around here in N. GA, I've never seen another 9 OR Valk on the road, lotsa harleys and a few sport bikes. It's a bit of a shame.
