Ha! How do these things happen? Exactly as you just described!
I came off a CTX1300 myself before the Valk (literally -- crashed and totaled it). It had been my favorite bike for the two years I had it. I thought for awhile after I killed it that I might be done riding, until I stumbled on the Valk again. I wasn't that crazy about it when it first came out, but then it just started growing on me. That beast of a motor -- and the ridiculous prices they were going for -- finally did me in and convinced me I'm not quite ready to hang it up just yet.
