New Blue Valkyrie in the garage

My wife just picked up her new blue Valkyrie on Thurday. This is the first bike she has been excited about since she picked up her brand new 2003 Valkyrie 10 years and 80,000 miles ago.

She test rode the 2014 Valkyrie the day after the dealer got on in and was very impressed. She called me and I took a test ride and was also very impressed, I would say the best bike I have ever ridden right out of the box.

Looking forward to getting the windshield, JMCB-2300 and Garmin 665 with SiriusXM radio installed for her.

I can't believe that leather bags will look good on this bike, for now we are just going to strap a KuryAkin bag on the back seat.

Now just waiting to see what the aftermarket provides.

welcome to the show ed! you guys splitting seat time or what? ;)
I wish, she may let me ride it if I fill it with gas or add some farkles. I just installed a Zumo 665 tonight, I better make sure it works.

My current ride is a 2014 Ultra Limited. I also have a 2000 valk interstate in the stable.
Congratulations! I bought a blue valkyrie at the same place (Dillon Brothers Powersports) a couple weeks ago. Great guys to deal with. I agree it may be the best bike I have ridden right out of the box and loving it more every time I ride it. I have found it is even more comfortable if you soften the suspension (preload). I lowered it 9 clicks from the factory setting and the ride is more luxurious. I have ordered the tall windscreen, power outlet, backrest, luggage rack from Honda and Kuryakin ergo II highway pegs, additional powerlet outlet and a quick release garmin mount. I hope I don't ruin the looks too much, but I want it to be able to go on long trips as well as around town.
Hi Bigdawg, if you're free tonight, our riding group is eating at Addy's at 14110 S St at 7:00, Wednesday evening. There's usually about 10 of us, it would be fun to compare notes.

Thanks for the invite nerider2, but I work Wednesday evenings. Please PM me if you ever meet on a different night of the week and I would love to meet some other riders.
welcome to the forum! throw up some photos!!!!
Cool that you Omaha guys have been able to find each other on here.

I want to see some pictures of the new ride. post up some pics if you get the chance.

If your wife is luck enough to get the Valkyrie, what are you riding?

Ya, that is pretty cool, I'm lucky enough to have a wife that rides a valk. I have an Ultra Limited.

They have 2 types of saddle bags listed in the accessory list. I'm hoping one set is hard saddle bags.

I'm using this tail bag right now http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/kriega-us-30-drypack and it fits well. I didn't mount it to the rear seat because I did not want the rear fender to be scratched. It will strap right to the rear grab bars though.

The accessory list on the Honda Powersports page show leather saddle bags (studded and Plain).
Thanks for the tip on the tail bag.

Welcome Dale.
That dealership in Chattanooga has by far the best price on the bike. If anyone is looking to buy and lives remotely close I would highly recommend them. I want to say they quoted me 16500 out the door.
I just got the following accessories installed today:
Highway pegs, black Kuryakyn
JMCB-2003
Throttle lock
Throttle boss

I already had the:
Kuryakyn grills, black
Zumo 665 with xm radio

Still on order:
Tall windshield
Backrest and rack
Fog lights, LED of course.

It is starting to come together nicely.

Nice list of accessories! Are you planning to do anything after those are in and installed?
That's a pretty long set of accessories. Did you buy them all at the same time from the same place?

Can't wait to see your bike all put together. Your Valkyrie sounds like it is going to be a really nice ride.

I had the dealer order them, except the Zumo. Sorry it is grips, spell check got me again.

Just watch my wife enjoy it. We have a trip planned to Ashville, NC in a couple weeks. Still waiting for Mustang to come out with a seat.
