In my opinion the seat is conmortable but the vinyl quality is very cheap , so my Corbin Gunfighter is on order. Need 4 weeks because they make it on custom orders only.
I hear this a lot about stock seats, for a lot of bikes.
have you started looking into your options?
I am very satisfied with the stock seat.

There are at least 2 aftermarket options. Here is one: http://corbin.com/honda/hv14g.shtml

LAAM seat is an option but you need to send your stock seat , i want to keep my oem seat like stock , so thats why i bought the Corbin , i like the leather & look (gunfighter) .
The Corbin looks interesting but I don't think they will make it without their logo. Their logo is too "loud" for me.

I had 2 Ultimate seats made for my VTXs and I was able to get them logo-less for a little extra $.
This Corbin is nice, but I prefer the original saddle.

No mate the stock is crap !

Looks like i'll order the corbin to keep my BUTT HAPPY ! :D:D:D:D:D:D
I have a Corbin Gunfighter on its' way. I will let you know the differences in comfort and seating position. I am also looking at a different bike so it might be for sale if I trade the Valkyrie.
In Australia maybe you want to consider this guy...

He is in Park Ridge, Queensland and shaped my seat so it is bearable. Next year I am hoping to get him to fully customize it. New materials, new padding, new shape (1 piece, 2 seater) etc. It will still cost a lot less then a Corbin but it will be built for my ass only :)

valk seat redone

Took mine to local automotive upholstery shop. Pulled the cover, upgraded the foam and let me ride it without a new cover. Some tweaking and re-shaping post-ride and then recover with black leather on sides and red leather on top. Looks good, and is a great improvement in ride ability. Stock seat is good for an hour (like most stock seats) mainly because it is flat and the foam compresses too soon.

I've had corbins and like them (have one on my wing) but this works well and costs a lot less

I will be sending my seats to Russell Daylong to get done. I was waiting until the CAD got better, but I don't think it will. I will probably send it out in January, since parcels will be held up at the border because of Christmas.
One Look

Hi forum members
I have a new 2014 Valkyrie (2 weeks) It's all black and no x-tra weight.
I have a feeling that information may be hard to come come by and was pleased to find your forum. I've been riding every day mostly short runs I love riding it so much

Definitely.... I don't know what the Honda engineers were thinking.
