Picked up my new 104 Valkyrie a few weeks ago. Have been enjoying it other than the seat is a real pain in the a$$. Looking forward to learning more about it from other members here.

Congratulations! I have about 3k on mine. The seat is too firm. I should have it back next week. I had mine lowered an inch on the driver's seat. The passenger's seat is being raised 1.5 inches and both are being replaced with gel sandwiched between memory foam.
The covers are being upgraded too. about the same money as a Corbin. But I"ve already tried gone that route, I thought theirs was better then stock but not what I was looking for.

I bought an Airhawk seat cushion on eBay. I can ride all day on it. Welcome to the group. 19,000 miles in just over 2 years riding mainly southern Missouri and Illinois.

I made the backrest from a Mustang backrest, post and some 1/4 metal I had laying around. It's very comfortable and strong. The passenger backrest with the rack is made for a Honda VLX600 you can buy new on ebay for less than $50. Took some cutting, re-drilling and bending but turned out pretty good. I'm a function over looks kinda person.

1900 miles on mine in just over a month. As others have said, best ride I've ever had! Pic is from Rend Lake in So IL. I have gone with mostly Honda accessories made for the Valk, with a couple of additions made for other bikes.

Forget all the other seats. Spend the money and get your seat redone by Russell seats. You won't regret it.

did Russell mod that seat to accommodate that backrest?
Wow very professional job.
I also have an Airhawk, $90 about 4 years ago and transferred it from previous bike. It came with patches that I've never needed.... (hope I didn't just jynx it!) Soooo much cooler to get on during a hot sunny Texas day, and for longer trips, you can easily increase or decrease the air volume at various gas stops and the change provides a lot of relief. For normal riding, I leave the valve open and that adds just a little cushion.
I was also using a old Airhawk on my Valkyrie but it started to leak I tried to patch it with no luck so I was going to buy another Airhawk but I found a Bigass cushion on Craigslist still new for a great price. It's like a Airhawk but has gel on the top it seems to work as well as the Airhawk. But with the cold weather I will have to wait till spring for a true test.
