Awesome Jim. I'm good mechanically, not much electrically!
No it is not legal for street use in my state and probably not in most any state.Looks interesting but is it legal for street use? I'd check that with your State Police Vehicle Inspections section. I have the Kisan Headlight modulator on my headlight which is legal. I carry the Federal DOT paperwork with me just in case I run into a LEO that does not know the law. Do not want your bike to get the hook like an old coworker's Goldwing when he had illegal lighting. Just wondering..... Good luck.
Ever enter an intersection and wonder if the guy in the pick up truck really see you coming?
I have the Shark Lights driving lights. When you first turn on the key, they do a three pulse strobe then stay on. I connected a single pole duel throw (SPDT) relay to the jumper wire for these lights and a momentary switch on the left handle bar. If I press and release the switch, it opens and closes the normally closed relay for the power the lights. That causes the lights to go into the three pules strobe again.
Here's a demo video.

Hadn't considered that. Good point to consider. I've used headlight modulators (that are on constantly during daylight) effectively (obvious on many an occasion) since 1980. True believer here. I also use the quick "blast" of it if I'm going down the highway and someone is seemingly waiting for me at their stop sign at the upcoming intersection and I want to make sure they notice me as I ride by. People got all uppity about modulators back then and you had to constantly make your argument to nay-sayers and those who thought they were illegal, which they can possibly be in certain areas. There was a simple on/off toggle for those situations. Now, people seem to be more used to them. And yet they still work for the intended purpose.I hope a driver doesn't think you are telling them to proceed and pull in front of you.
