Just having got the Bike last Saturday, I'm trying to buy a few accessories for it.
I was wondering if there is agreement on what the best driving lights are for performance and money?

I was looking at the ones from Socal but am confused because even though they have an install video on the F6C There doesn't seem to be a place to order them on there site.
Also I can't find a phone number to call them.
I am guessing the F6B's would work but I know there has to be a led interface for the turns to work on the F6C. can't find anything on that either.
Any help would be appreciated..

You mean to say Socal doesn't offer the adapter when purchasing the F6C lights?
Would I just order the F6B lights or am I missing something on the site?
Any phone number that I am missing? Thanks.

SoCal made the lights for the Gold Wing and F6B. The F6C uses a lower voltage because the turn lights are LED. The adapter basically steps down the voltage to allow the turn signals to function. Order the Pathfinder LED lights. They are the ones on the right under GL 1800/F6B products. The adapter isn't required for the Goldwing or F6B so that is why it isn't included.

I see SoCal is now adding the Admore adapter for $49.00 under the choose your options.

Ok Thanks!
How do you find the nighttime brightness of those lights?
I am guessing the turns are pretty effective?
Worth the money?
I do ride at night and very early am and the socal lights are a huge improvement. Definitely worth the money. I have the admore adapter, never installed because I decided I didn't really need them. I mainly cared about the drl and extra visibility and am happy with the results.

The admore adapter is a snap to install.
It doesn't seem hard, but honestly I was tired after installing the fog lights. I'm not experienced with this kind of stuff and spent extra time double and triple checking every instruction before I did it. When I tested the fog lights, I was like "ok good enough, I'm done messing with this" and wrapped it all up. :)
I noticed right away it seemed to increase my visibility to other drivers after riding around a bit. I definitely have a lot fewer people cutting me off or turning out in front of me and people seem to give me a bit extra space.
I'm not sure I need the extra functionality of turn signals so if anyone wants to buy my adapter, I'll sell it for half price + shipping.

I concur. One day while riding down the road on my VTX1800 I noticed cars pulling out on me like I was invisible. I pulled over and to check my lights and sure enough the driving lights somehow got turned off.

I think it is that the driving lights create a triangle effect that better registers with motorist than a single light, even one as BRIGHT as the F6C high beam.

Thanks all for your input!

I ordered these lights over the others due to the fact that they had the turn signals. Again the F6C led turns like the headlight are very bright but also pretty small. I really don't want a car not knowing that I am turning in front of them.
That being said I would encourage you turboyoshi to hook up your turns!

Driving lights you say?

Performance for money you say?

About 240au in lights.
20au for a loom and a relay.
5au for a switch.
Custom mount for nothing from a mate at work.
=24000 lumens

>:D

Fairly sure they will not only murder but melt anything you can put in those little holes :D

The traffic rules in Manitoba allow no more than 4 white lights facing forward, none of which can be higher than the headlight, so, unfortunately your lights would not work here as you now have 5. I would encourage anyone considering adding lights to check their regulations.

Man I thought the rules here were crap but in this case it is a win. We are allowed 4 auxiliary driving lights.

So if a vehicle comes with 57 lights on the front I can still put on 4 more and the real trick here is that an LED assembly is considered 1 light... no matter how many LEDs are actually in the thing.

So I could put on 4 led light bars in theory and be ok, except for them hanging out about 2 feet each side but apart from that...

BTW I actually have 6 on in that picture, low, high and 4 auxiliaries. Legal. One of the few things here that is :D
