Forgive me if this is posted somewhere already, but I didnt want to search the whole forum. I have been looking all over the internet and cant seem to find this info. Does anyone know what the lean angle is for the F6C before you hit the feelers?

Coming from a VTX1300 cruiser I was amazed at the speeds and lean angles possible with the Valk. I don't know what the max lean angle is (yet) but it never fails to thrill me when I decide to do some fast curves or corners and I don't ever touch down the feelers. Making sparks with the feelers (titanium) on my VTX was always a highlight of my ride but I learned straight away that the Valk has a much greater max lean angle and is even possibly past the limit I would feel comfortable at.


I guess I am still working on expanding my limits with this bike. Taking a 30mph posted exit ramp at 50+ is such a blast... maybe I try 55 next time..lol

Keep in mind that if you find an answer, stock may be different if you have certain accessories like highway pegs, floorboards, larger tires, etc. You could get a couple of competent friends to hold the bike at the lean angle that puts something in contact with the pavement, but I'll bet it's about 43 degrees for stock. Sport bikes are about 45 (more than that and at 1/1 G's the tires may not hold unless you're on a track with ideal conditions and rubber), Harley's are generally 32 - 36 degrees. 2014 Valkyrie is said to lean steeper than standard Gold Wing which leans steeper than most stock Harley's, hence my conclusion.

You might also try scraping the pegs on some low speed drills in a parking lot to get an idea of how that lean angle feels. There's a terrific series of free, youtube videos of progressively advancing drills, taught by a retired moto-cop "MCRider".
I've been riding since 1979, and these videos were still very helpful for me getting up to speed when getting a new bike. If you can't make a U-turn with the steering turned all the way at the lock, or do S-turns from one steering lock to the other, then you have an opportunity. All that said, I have some beautiful Corbin bags and the idea of messing up or hitting a little gravel limits my lean more than the bike itself....
