Just venting after spending $ 600 dollars on this seat and now this!

This starts with the pile of crap stock:mad: seat that comes on these Valkyries. My wife and I love the bike but hate the seat. After checking around I found a local upholstery shop that told me everything I wanted to hear with a done and two weeks... Yeah right! 3 months later I had to threaten the guy with a deadline and finally got the seat back. However, that was two months ago. The seat is nice and should be mounted by now, but I was installing my show chrome fog lights and Valkyrie adapter which was a task in its self. Well, tonight I realized they never gave me the mounting bracket to my seat. They cannot find it and you can not order its separate a new seat which is nothing I want is 250 bucks! This is BS! I am livid!!!

They are going to keep looking meanwhile I'm screwed!

Wow that sux.. sorry that happened to you.. I’m looking at sending my seat off due to the poor stock seat as we speak.. gotta think a fabricator can make that bracket for a heck of a lot less than $250... especially if you had a fellow Valk owner nearby who could lend you there seat for a day.. I’m happy to take pics/measurements as necessary if it would help.. I hope all works out..

Thanks very much. Im so bummed out! I found a seat on ebay if they dont find them tomorrow. I suggest taking off your bracket or take pictures of your entire seats before sending them out.
Mod the seat. Most of the time it isnt even the foam. It's the vinyl. Lol I'll be redoing mone in waterproof leather. Leather tends to flex and keep a break in shape.
Learned this with my Guzzis. I have 2 of the similar bike. One has the stock vinyl seat, other with alcantara You'd be amazed in the difference.
Finally got my bracket back and installed the seat. Fog lights are done, just need to install my lower and change the oil. A quick detachable bracket for my viking tour pack is next. I'll sleep better tonight! Ha!

I am glad that they found the bracket. Seat does look good, though.

after 3K miles my seat broke in and am happy with it.
I whinged about the seat the second time I rode it. The first time I was just laughing my head off in my helmet and twisting that loud knob attached to the throttle. Ahh that push in the back like the hand of the Gods...

Then the second time I rode it was a dusk to dawn 1000km. Ahhh, that push in the back.......... kills.

I thought about modding the seat, but I think a back-rest is better. For me. I've never owned a bike with a back-rest, but when I padded up the 20L jerry can for a few 2000km days in a row I found the seat to be perfect. I ditched the AirHAwk that I usually use and had not a scrap of discomfort.

I'd consider it on future bikes and it seems a few in here have gone the riders back-rest route (plus or minus pillion back-rest)
