I'll bet someone here knows the answer to this:
I removed the rear fender from my new 2014 and onto the floor dropped a black rubber trim piece, about 7 inches long, 1/4 inch wide, square U-shape in cross-section. I haven't gotten a shop manual yet due to the possibly dire consequences of making a morally reprehensible choice of vendors, and I can't find the part on BikeBandit's exploded parts diagram of the rear fender.

Looks like there's 3 places it will fit: 1)- an arched plastic lip pointing downward on the inside of the big blue fender, 2)- an arched plastic lip pointing forward on the black plastic lower fender assembly, 3)- an arched plastic lip pointing upward on the black plastic lower fender assembly.

Thanks in advance.

AHA!
I followed the links and found it on Partzilla- it goes on top of the vertical black inner fender rib.
Here I go with a dab of silicone- I'm sure it adds a couple mph to the top end.

thanks, guys.
