It looks like I'm not the only person who jumped on the $10k off deal Honda dealers were doing recently.

I've been riding for about two years and put about 17k miles on a V-Star 1100, which is now having engine problems, and 5k miles on a 97 GL1500 which I will be selling because the size and bulk do not do well in the City, but I will miss grocery shopping on my bike.

Put 1k on the new Valkyrie, and leaned it insanely far. Can you scrape the pegs or are you going down if you lean that far?!

I'm planning on ordering the Corbin Gunfighter seat so I can go more than 2 hours without pain, plus a sissy bar for the wife/bag.

I'm going to read through the threads to see if anyone found decent lockable saddlebags. I saw someone on Facebook with the Saddleman Cruis'n Deluxe slants on the bike. Didn't look great, but I need some serious storage for camping gear.

I got a great deal on a 2014 Interstate and went to Pennsylvania to pick it up. Big mistake because the motorcycle was just too cumbersome to operate in Baton Rouge, where the traffic is insane. I put around 1500 miles on it during the year I owned it, but I never felt safe riding in the city. I did appreciate the storage capacity provided in the Interstate's non-locking saddle bags. I was fortunate to trade for one of the new old stock Valkyries with the huge discount. I opted for the extended warranty and will receive six years of warranty coverage.

Regarding saddlebags...When I am ready for saddle bags, I will take a serious look at Corbin's Fleetliner Saddlebags for 2014-2015 Honda Gold Wing Valkyrie. They are color keyed to match and look great. They will set you back a couple thousand dollars. So, I am not ready for that.

I've read that a lot of people aren't happy with the Corbin bags. There are quality/install issues.

I found an old thread with exactly what I want to do, I want to find out what kind of mounts/panniers OX-34 posted in the "buyers remorse" thread. I can't PM him or post a picture due to my low post count!
