Hey Guys,

I just finished installing my GLPD Gear indicator. I went with blue to match the display. Install and programming was straight forward and it looks to be very high quality. I wanted to post some pictures so you could see where I mounted it.

I bought one, also in blue LED, when I first bought my bike three years ago ('14 Valk), along with several other electronic add-ons e.g. turn-signal cancellation and the like. They are all still in their respective boxes. Love riding the bike. Hate working on 'em. One of the reasons I left HD and bought the new Valkyrie. Virtually zero maintenance and repair. I'll eventually put everything on, but will have to get motivated some winter's day.

Super easy to install and very handy. These motors have so much torque its hard to remember which gear your in. It also keeps me from accidently grabbing 1st when slowing for a corner.

That's exactly why I bought mine, but after putting enough miles on the bike and knowing the RPM limits per gear I eventually didn't feel that I needed it as much. I still get fooled, though, once in awhile, which is why I bought the darn thing in the first place! The Power of Procrastination!

What did you use for a mount? This looks really useful and cool. How long did the entire install take you, and did you need any special tools? How is the cable routed?

I have fitted this as well. It comes with some good double sided tape to enable each attachment. I routed the wired using some existing cable stays and then in between the left radiator and tank. There is a small channel there. After the the rest of the wire was run under the tank. Pretty easy. 30 mins all up with the tank being loosened and lifted slightly (radiator housing as well). You could do it quicker but I have zip tied it under the tank and put heat reflective tape on the wire so it's not exposed to heat. Images attached. The final one is the view from my riding position.
