Installed 14'' windshield, Gustafsson has hardware now,no longer required to have Honda hardware. I was looking for a screen that was between the boulevard and tall screen. Screen does a great job knocking the wind off my torso, and most of my head, at high speed (over 80) by leaning forward slightly,I can advoid all wind. A few days ago I installed a Puig screen on my VMax, looking at both screens side by side the Gustafsson is much thicker and feels more sturdy.

It seems that they're using the same mounting kit that came with my Vario Touring screen.>:D

So total was around
$200 , not real bad and different heights to choose from
I have a nice 15" in dark tint as well if your interested make ya a good deal on it!
Has anyone tried installing a windshield from Gustafsson that has the new hardware? I received the 15" windshield and I am having issues with the installation. No matter where I put the clamps on the handlebars I can't got to full turn without them hitting the fuel cap cover. Has anyone else experienced this and if so did you leave it as is or have a way around it?

Disregard, I figured it out. I kept trying to duplicate the way the attached picture had it installed. I flipped it to where the barrel that the support goes thru is at the top instead of the bottom. Problem solved.
Received my 15" Gustafsson smoke screen and an not at all happy with the mounting hardware.

Couple of points:
a. The picture they show has about a 3 or 4 inch mounting bar for the plastic with 4 screws. Mine was mounted by Gustafsson and they use a single round mounting point and the plastic wobbles a lot. It's pretty thick Plexiglas, so I'm sure it will hold, but it's doesn't feel strong at all.
b. Even after cranking on the set screws, after a 1 hour ride, one side came loose and slid down so that the screen was crooked.
c. Yes, the mounting bars also hindered my ability to turn, so will have to do the mounting on the top as Arkyrider figured out. Clearly not a Gustafsson issue :)

I like the OEM Boulevard mounting gear much better.

But, after I put on the Screen, my new Kuryakyn ISO grips and my cruise control, the world was all good at 80mph.

Did you report this problem to Gustafsson? I think it's frequently best to let the vendor have a shot at correcting the problem. If it was due to improper installation, at least the good vendors will have a chance to correct or fire the person who performed the incorrect installation.
my wife is getting the 15" Gustafsson with Euro Flip. She is 5'9" . Someone had posted it measures to the top of the screen, 9.5" from the top of the Speedo Gauge.
If that is correct it should line up just under her nose. ( she wants to see over it).
What is your height? and any feedback you can give on it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!
The Gustafson appears very square? Is there a functional reason for this design? I haven't settled on a shield yet, still reading and studying options. The Slipstream has a very nice look on the Valk.
I'm looking to buy a windscreen for my 14 Valkyrie. Telephone 928-775-6779. John

Here are some photos of a Spit Fire. I felt it was a little small. Wasn't supposed to fit. Measured about 15"H. A little wobbly.

Bought a 17"H universal cheapo off eBay for $41. I'm 6' and I like to look over the top. This one is about 1-2" to tall. I'm going to cut the tips off the bottom. Pretty thin and flimsy but it works. Plan to go to Gustafson to see first hand what they have. I was surprised how good the mounting hardware was with this cheapo. Plastic, but better than the Spit Fire. Need to cut about 1.5" off the bars to keep from hitting the tank. see the JP mirrors. Much improved visibility.
