so slo, you pretty much answered your own question.. those soup can sized deflectors are about as effective as you telling your girlfriend that her bikini will keep her dry in a hurricane on the back of your bike.. "but Babe you look so good in it!".. its only a little bit of water.. but hey, welcome and try to keep up. poncho

Yep, I went and did it today. Couldn't help myself. It is just so shiny.

Rolled into the local Honda stealer to look at one of the last few remaining 2014 F6C available on the east coast. 2 hours later I am riding my new bike home.
Not even sure how it happened. Just sorta ... did.
Of course I am all smiles today.
That being said, I have been perusing this board for the last few days preparing for my new toy purchase and I will have many questions. I see there are some questions about running car tire on the back of a bike and how it can't possibly be a good thing. Baloney! I will post the "why it works" stuff in the appropriate thread when and if. Just ask me if you want and I will tell you why it works for some bikes and not so much for others ... hint: it's all about the sidewall. Size matters.
I love riding this bike though I wonder why 1st gear is so short? And where is 6th gear? Can't find it. lol
Anyway, hello to all ... I am off to install the wee little deflector Honda calls a windshield then to put it in the wind to see the difference over 200 bucks makes!.. LOL. Something is better than nothing I always say so let's see if that's really true.

Ever once a while I pay my dues and visit some fam in fla. the last time there I swore will never ride a bike to/in fla agin. there are just toooooooooo many old people there and most are behind the wheel of 2 ton demolition derby racers. Fla is become a dumping ground for all NY and yankee old people to go spend their money and die. most are bent on die’ing firstOh, there's a few here and there but you'll use up a lot of center tread getting to them. @JackB I got the burgandy one.. thought it was more red but.. well it ain't. Not a lot of choices since the only other color is black and I don't want another black bike.
