Went out for a ride this afternoon but unlike all the previous times didnt go in a big loop, this time i stopped at a cafe i often use. Shortly after a guy on a (clearly very looked after) fireblade rolled up. He came over and said 'bit of a head turner that, what on earth is it?'. So i explained and filled in all the gaps. He'd never seen one before. He thought it was awesome. It was a nice feeling TBH and we had a brief chat (as we often do dont we with a shared hobby/interest). I complimented him on his bike because that was the decent thing to do. As i put in the title header, with such a rare bike and such an imposing machine i'm going to have to get used to this........

Yeah, although I like my other bikes, and they receive the occasional compliment, this is the first bike I've owned which makes people walk inside of restaurants and look for the owner. I've had guys on 30K Harleys tell me that my bike is badass. I usually respond with "You know it's not a Harley, right?" or "Don't let your Harley buddies hear that!" Even a few crotch rocket riders have complimented it.
Last week I was getting breakfast in a restaurant and some guy in his 70s was out there walking around and staring at it for about 5 minutes. He came in with a big smile and a Goldwing hat on and asked me if it was a Goldwing. He sat down and we talked bikes for a good 10 minutes.

I get a lot of funny looks with my Valkyrie. I regularly get : "What the he11 is that [email protected] thing? " A lot of the Harley guys hate it. Then times I get : " Hm. It's a Honda? Must be reliable". Lol I think it's hilarious . This Valkyrie generation is certainly a unique one.
