Has anyone else noticed a 'chirping' sound from the front end area when riding over bumps? I had this the last few years on my '98 Tourer- but figured it was because it was old. Now I'm wondering if it's just a Valkyrie thing? Smiley

It doesn't do it all the time but I notice it quite a bit. Is is the front fork? Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Never heard it sorry. Mind you I nearly always have earplugs and or music going so nothing definitive there :)

is it possible you are hearing the fork oil flowing though the orifice in the forks? That's usually more of a psss or a swuss sound than a chirp. Hard to put a sound into words I know. But oil filled suspension does make a sound when they are working and that is normal.

I noticed the same thing. I thought the friction of the electric cable that goes between the tank and the lighthouse but I have no confirmation.
I'll try a treatment with silicone spray.

Now that I have a better idea of what sound you hear my also has what I would call it more of a squeaking. And I think it is from the wiring harness under the tank or around the shock fork area.

I have yet to take it in for any service. I'll have to see what they can determine (if anything). It's driving me nuts! I love the bike, otherwise...
