I had a Rune, bought it new, and kept it three years. First, it was a very beautiful piece of work. Second, it was the most uncomfortable bike I have ever owned. I have had 26 bikes, with my wife, and usually I can come up with a solution for any seating problems. Not this time. I ordered a seat, I made a seat, I made a set of handlebar attaching brackets, and I gave up. On the other hand, I have had four Valks, only one needed any adjustment (a lowering kit for the I/S) and all were very comfortable. So, you just cain't never tell.

Comfort is king, no doubt, but I must admit I'd be prepared to make some exceptions for this baby! Personally, I think a lot of guys 'sit wrong' on motorcycles. It's a bit counter-intuitive but I find 'horse jockey' up close to the tank better than the laid back 'Captain America' style. Takes a bit of perseverance initially but has been well worth it in my experience. Saves the butt, saves the back and saves the shoulders coz you're not 'reaching' for the bars.

Ahhh....Just gots to fire up the vid and watch it often. Any guidance on how frequently and for how long? Days, weeks, months or years before I attain enlightenment? Any other hypno aids needed?

I think the Rune was the most awesome production bike ever built, period. Don't see many around. Heck, you don't see many Valkyries around. To my knowledge, mine is the only one in Richmond. My dentist owned one for a few years, and said it was fun but trying to jockey it around in a parking lot or garage was rough. It seems most people buy them, keep them briefly, and then sell them. From a practical POV, it's about as impractical as they come. Basically it is an F6C Valkyrie with an extra 130 pounds to haul around. So it can't perform like the Valkyrie can. But it is sure a sight to see. And as someone above noted, parts are tough to find, which means you can never break, scratch, ding or wreck anything on it. I've read Honda lost money on every one they sold.
