Does the F6C need a windscreen?

I'm kind of thinking that it may need a small windscreen or at least a speed screen to help and deflet the airflow away from the rider. I just imagine that cruising is going to become quite taxing and fast with that airflow punching you square in the chest....

it does

but it sure looks good without one.

I completely agree with this. Adding a windscreen is good to keep that wind out of your face, making it more comfortable to ride. The bike looks way better without one though.

An age old question: do you go for style, or substance?
windscreens never look good

thats the truth

but they are required of you want to keep sane
well no I wont say they always look bad. Thats not true at all in my opinion. If done right and with style than can be both form and function. I think there should be an option for a light mounted mini screen, something with just enough push to move the air up and over, although the thing to consider is sometimes those small screens can cause the airflow to jackhammer your head which is NEVER fun...
not that it looks bad

i just think motorcycles look better without em

this is why i prefer riding locally at times, but on long distance rides you'll find the need for it.
yea around town its not as neccessary

its when you hit the highway that it starts to matter
Yeah thats when it helps, really depends where you ride, for how long and how often
you could get the original Valkyrie with a high screen which i personally dont like, a little baby speed screen would be great...

I think its still too early for F6C parts to be showing up, a google search returned nothing concrete as of yet...

On those older classic bikes big screens actually look good to me, but on these newer bikes i rather not have them, only if i really need it.
get one if you need one

dont if you dont
Yup, thats really what it comes down to. Even if you hate how it looks, if you need it, you need it... no way around.
I'd rather have a less good looking bike that was more comfortable to ride than look cool and freeze to death because I am too stubborn to get a windscreen. Of course the optimal setup is to find a way to combine style and function. most people want to have their cake and eat it too.
I do wonder if they would do a F6C Faired as well. I know they sell the CTX700 in naked and faired form... Just a thought, I doubt it, but still...

Yup, i honestly wouldn't doubt that there are people out there who are stubborn enough to go without one when they actually need it.
I've noticed at anything around 80mph+ my fullface (Scorpion EXO 500) rocks back and forth a bit which I think is caused by the air swirling off the mirrors. I bar end mounted the mirrors on my 11 Triumph Storm and it made a heck of a difference even without the screen I added. (Windvest in smoked black) I've found at 80+ mph if I get my butt back onto the curve of the seat, lean into my straight arms, get my head right and keep my legs in tight behind the radiator covers, I can do 80 without getting beat up too badly on my 45 mile commute. Something about having my knees out farther than the radiators makes that wind really come through. This bike, being so different, makes for a different riding position from your standard relaxed cruiser position. That's just me... Still, I'm prayin that boulevard screen doesn't suck like the tall one... :)
oh man the one screen I've seen is TRAGIC. I hear you BV, a little low one would accent the looks nicely ;)

I just bought a Valkrie and ordered a windshield for it. i'm so used to the GL1800 I couldn't imagine not having some kind of a shield on the Valkyrie.

I'll post pictures when the dealer delivers the new bike with windshield.
