unless you are lightning fast and need to ride the same day.

I just installed Polly heaters inside my bars along with new Kury Iso grips. I've always used RTV silicone on previous bikes.
These came with glue so without thinking I just applied on the left side and it took about 5 seconds to slide the grip half way on and that was it. Hard as a rock/done. Yes it is a PIA to get off and cleaned up. Used red high temp RTV. Let dry overnight and good to go.

I wish I would have known this last month when installing Oxford heated grips. They supply super glue that don't hold up. The left grip ends up rotating when hot. I used plenty of the supplied super glue too. Oh well, one of these days when I'm not lazy I will redo it with RTV as you suggest.

I always clean well is alcohol , let it dry and then use 3M super weatherstrip adhesive . no need for heated grips but i discovered today my size 12 tennis shoes can slip up under the engine and stay very warm while riding :)
