Great time at Daytona bike week again this year. Perfect weather.

My friend was on his Ducati and we rolled them on full throttle from about 60 mph. No match. I left him way behind by the time we were at triple digits.

Slowed back down to 60 mph.

Then I saw a red C5 convertible Vette easing up in the left lane on me. Older gentleman gets beside me and gives me the thumbs up sign. I do the same and I see him drop the manual transmission down one gear. I do the same and we hit them. I instantly pulled ahead by about 3 car lengths on him and held that gap up to about 110 - 120 mph. Then I could see him start to gain some ground back on me. Then at 127 mph I hit the brick wall. The speed limiter kicked in so I gave him the thumbs up and let off the throttle. That was fun.

Now: I had GUHL Motors re flash my ecm and the top speed limiter should have been removed. I called Don and he said, yes, he has learned the Valk has a different method of speed limit but no problem, just send my ecm back for a new reflash. It went out today. I look forward to testing the top speed when I get it back.

Also ran into a guy at the speedway doing a helmet cam of his trip. He liked my Valkyrie and added it to his video. It shows my bike at 14:33 in the video - Run It. Watch the entire video if you have time.

That's not too bad I suppose. Maybe one day I'll do it too but not until after my warranty runs out if I still have the bike. The sad truth is, I just don't ride like I used to. Not style, just length. I did four cross country trips in fours years and since then I haven't really went anywhere far away. I think my Valkyrie has maybe 7000 miles on it and I've had it two years....

That's one of the main reasons I haven't been spending money on it.

Does the flash give significant gains?
Not likely. The other company I cant think of just claimed their flash mostly just "improved throttle response" and fixed flat spots in the HP/TQ curve. Realistically, it get "significant" gains you'd have to pair the flash with an intake/exhaust combo.

I've never seen a "stock before flash VS stock after flash" dyno graph though. If someone with a stock bike with a flash has a dyno graph, I have a completely stock dyno graph from my bike to compare it to.
