G'day All,

My name is Bikebear and I'm from Cairns Far North Queensland, Australia.

I bought a 2015 Valkyrie second hand in October, it's the 40th anniversary model in Candy Prominence Red. Really enjoying the bike and I'm looking at doing a few mods.

I've removed the back seat and have single seat registration, this saves me about $175AUD a year on compulsory thrid party insurance.

Items I've got to go on the bike are:

Fender Lid Covers to cover the place where the huge ugly rear rails are bolted on.
MCCruise Cruise Control
UHF CB Radio
Phone Mount
Crash cam
Go Pro
Highway Pegs
Colour matched Fleetliner saddlebags through Corbin (crazy expensive but they do look nice, I can't wait until they arrive)
Fog/Daylight Running Lamps
Tow Hitch

When I get it all sorted I'll post a few pics.

Cheers,
BB in Oz

just so you know, those grab rails were real useful picking the bike up after a spill on ice. :p

Tow Hitch
I only know one company making a tow hitch for this bike and they're in Canada. Were you planning on fabbing one?

Looking forward to the pics.

Hi Bikebear,

Welcome to the new Valk. Doing mods to this bike has been a real joy for me. I love doing stuff to it.

As for the cruise control, check out my write up on installing an Rostra 250-1223 cruise control on our bikes. Much cheaper than the MC Cruise.
G'day Bscrive, I've already bought the MCCruise. I've got one on my ST1100 as well and it's great. I like that if I have issues I'm able to contact the manufacturer during our business hours, **** of a lot easier than having to deal with a company in another country.

I've purchased a Classic Industries GL1800 hitch which I am getting modified to suit the Valk. From what I can see it shouldn't be too hard to make it fit.

Well I have to eat my words. There's no way that the Goldwing tow bar will fit the Valkyrie. Looks like I'm gonna have to take a loss on the tow bar and sell it on ebay. I guess my options now are to design and build my own or ride down south and get the factory that makes the hitches do one for me.
