Almost new owner. Need windshield advice for myself at 5'9"

Hello,

Waiting on credit approval and then all aboard. I've learned a lot in the short time I've been here.
I'll be coming off of my 2nd Yamaha FJR1300. My last cruiser was a Roadliner which I thought handled well for it's weight, but after 2 testrides on 2 different 2014 Valkyries, I realized the Roadliner was a dinasour in the twisties. The Valkyrie is easier to lean in the curves than the FJR and my buds Concours 14. They both have high centers of gravity, especially with the gas tank up so high and the FJR's battery is at the same height.
Rather than go on and on with comparisons, my main question is in regards to getting a windshield, my 1st priority as far as accessories. Is there anyone in the 5'8" to 5'10" range out there who can recommend a windshield that will get me in the "bubble/quiet zone, and get the turbulent air over my helmet or at least smooth out the airflow so that I'm not having double vision? Speaking from 5'9", with a 30" inseam. The turbulence was my only complaint on the 2 testrides. Admittedly, I've been spoiled by my 2 FJR's with their electrically adjustable windshields. WIth my cruisers in the past, I've gone through multiple windshields and too much money. My first consideration is the Honda tall screen. Also wondering if there is anything out there with a quick release? And is there a cheaper route to go for the Honda windshield and backrest rather than Honda itself?

Thanks in advance for any info.

I am about the same size as you and I have the Honda tall windshield I did tilted back about an inch and the windshield does a great job but it's still a little tall for me so I've been thinking about dropping it down an inch or two.
I believe Utopia makes a back rest for your bike

I'm 5'11"

Tall honda shield works fine for me but not perfect. The big bugs are out there now and its doing a good job so far. Killing lots of them!

I'm 5'11", have the Honda Tall shield, and I have to look through it rather than over it. The rain wasn't beading off, so I was going to get it cut down, but I used some RainX motorcycle for plastic windshields and it works great now.

I am 5’8” with a 30” I seam. I have the tall Honda shield. I couldn’t see over it so I cut 4 1/2” off it several years ago. I still like it where it is and my line of sight is just over it. Utopia is a driver back rest. I’m not a fan. I couldn’t adjust it to my liking and along with a mean city modded seat they sit in a box in my garage. Wasted money IMO. The Corbin is a better choice and I have added both backrests. Custom up front for me and inexpensive aftermarket for the rear.

Well, I am 6’0” and use the Boulevard shield with no issues.

Enjoy the ride!

I'm 6.3 have the Honda Windshield. My seat was lowered 2.5 inches when I had the seat done over. I look through the stock screen about 3.5 to 4 inches below the top of the screen. I have no wind issues. no buffeting. no complaints with either my Badass helmet or my full face.

I absolutely love this motorcycle. I've had many and this is by far my favorite all around bike. I tease my Harley buddies that I can go 24 or 124 in 5th gear it simply doesn't matter.

I will soon have a Honda backrest and rack for sale. I'm having a Viking tour pack put on and am going to alter the Harley docking system for quick release. I don't want it on there when I don't need it and want a nice clean look.
