Hey fellow riders,
Long story short, the salesman told me these bikes (2014 f6c) don't need a break-in given the latest engine technology. I've ridden it to 250 miles and I swear I've noticed a loss in acceleration power under WOT. When I first go the bike (upgraded from a Kawasaki 650 Versys) I couldn't even do a WOT run because I felt like I was going to get thrown off the bike when I cranked the throttle. Well after a few weeks of riding I decided to open her up today several times and never once got the butterflys in my stomach feeling of that hard pull like I felt the first couple days after buying the bike.
Am I crazy? Did I screw up the engine/pistons/compression by doing a couple WOT runs before the 300 mile break in? (I read the manual today, turns out there is a break-in period)
I love my new Valk, but I'm scared I just bought a bike with engine issues or did something wrong in the first few miles.
