I needed to post this somewhere. I'm not a big FB user.

My wife and I have been married 30 years today. I remember it like it was yesterday because I was sick as a dog and it was cold and rainy.

You would think this to be a bad omen... I don't believe in them! We've had our ups and downs as I'm sure most have but we endured(or she endured).

I got the better deal in this. Although her mom came aboard after the first year. Whew! She is 96. Can't hear a flippin thing and her memory is shot. Hope I'm as blessed if I live that long. :laugh:

Congrats, you are a lucky man. I remember the day I got married 12 years ago. That morning I put a ebay bid on a brand new Kawasaki Mean Streak. The next weekend we drove 150 miles and I road it back. Ya, she's a keeper!

I had a marriage that went the other way. Not sad about it. I would be sad about it if I was still in there because no way would I have ever had a Valkyrie

I know exactly how you feel. My wife married me when she was 19 years old. She's 56 now and still here! I look in the mirror and wonder why sometimes. Pretty glad she is though...

However, in this world, long term marriages are starting to become rare and I'll admit that it does get better but so many give up too easily.

Yup. I think they often start off good, go through a rough period and then get better again ... if you can get through the middle bit
