I have decided to build myself another set of handlebars out of 1-1/2" round bar. My 1-1/4" bars look good, but I wanted fatter. The 1-1/2 bars are as fat as I can go because of the clutch and front brake master cylinders. I had to grind the side of the bars to make room for the masters to sit correctly on the bars. they look good and I will be putting them on this weekend. I painted them last Saturday and the paint needs 7 days to cure. I also made this set an inch shorter to accommodate my cables. My 1-1/4" bars were a little too long and my brake and clutch lines are a little tight.

Here is what they look like.

I had a difficult time to find 1-1/2" clamps for my speakers and to mount my windscreen. I finally found some Bull Bar Roll Cage Tube Mount Bracket Clamps on eBay that will work perfect. They should be in tomorrow.

Done

I put on my handlebars this morning and I have to say that they really suit the bike. Our bikes are behemoths and the wimpy 1" bars did not do it justice, in my opinion. The 1-1/2" bars are really beefy looking and they look awesome.

Here is a picture of the evolution of my handlebars. You can see quite a difference.

Here is how they look on the bike.

I tried for some other angles, but with the bike being black and the same with the bars, it doesn't show up well. They get lost in the picture.
