Planning to buy a Valkyrie in the near future - what to look for?

Hi,

I've low-key wanted a Valkyrie (GL1500) for a while. Planning to start searching in earnest now. I was wondering what sorts of things to look for when buying used, and what some common issues might be.
Considering that this is a Goldwing engine, I would imagine that high miles (60k +) is probably nothing to be worried about - if anything, it indicates that the bike was regularly used. Given that it is shaft driven, I'd guess spline lubing is important, as well. Internet searches seem to yield little else, and it's not hard to believe that these are very trouble-free bikes. Is that truly the case?
I'd be curious to know if carb syncing is a hassle, given that there are six of them. I've synced carbs on inline 4's before, so I'm generally familiar with the process. Does this need doing often? I would assume it should atleast follow every valve adjustment, but this might just be one of those bikes that holds clearances well and doesn't need the carbs synced very often, either.

Aside from that, anything to pay special attention to?

Thanks in advance!

While there may be a few owners of the older 1500 Valk on this forum the VRCC is the BEST source for info on those older models that’s where current owners are:

While I despise FBook, there are also a couple of good, fairly active groups there as well, VRCC / Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club https://www.facebook.com/groups/109339477726/
and Honda Valkyrie https://www.facebook.com/groups/2232984346/
