Making a seat

Hello to everyone. I'm new to the forum and have been searching aftermarket seat options. Maybe I'm cheap or just enjoy a challenge but decided that $700 to $1000 for a custom seat that I can't return or sit on before buying it was too much. So I first thought about just recovering the stock seat with better foam. However the rear seat with its narrower at rear design probably won't fix the problem for passenger. Do I've embarked on creating my own custom seat.
I started by taping securing the stock front and rear seat together. removing the stock seats and flip them upside down. Put cardboard around the edges stuck the whole thing in a plastic bag and poured plaster inside to create a mold.
That all worked out fine but I'm not sure if I should create a one piece seat or keep them as two.
Anyway that's where I am so far and plan to lay up fiberglass to create a new bottom seat plate and then shape and cover new foam and fabric over the new fiberglass plate. Reason for the fiberglass form is I've worked with fiberglass before and if I mess this up I still have the stock seats. I will post pics when I get further along right now I just have a mold that looks like the underside of the seat.
Thanks for reading and sorry I know it's a long first post.

Keep us posted.
Corbin makes both Valkyire seat as a one piece.
Astech Seat will add foam to your stock front seat for $189 plus shipping there and back home, so for about $300.
Good luck on your project.
