On very smooth asphalt at 60 to 70kmh (35 to 45 mph) there' a perceptible pulsing as if there's a slightly out of round or unbalanced tyre. It's not severe by any means but it's there. It's done it from day one and I just assumed it was the stock tyres and would disappear with new ones. It hasn't. Anyone else notice this? On a fairly rough road you don't notice it; only when the tarmac gets really smooth.

you are probably experiencing that shake that these cruise missiles exhibit when they push through the sound barrier. yours just happens at a lower threshold. it might be your altitude and air density?
Didn't notice anything before but since getting new tires, I don't feel it but hear a "pulsing" or quiet bump as if tires are a little off in some way either by balance or the way they are made.
As always, if this machine is still rolling, so am I!
