Hello from Venice, Florida

I currently live in Venice, FL. I'm looking to buy an older Valkyrie. I found a handful in my state but I was wondering about which one to purchase. The one's I'm looking at are: 1997 - 2001 from about $3500 - $5200 with mileage from about 20k - 80k. Some have farings and saddlebags while others have nothing. My question is: Would it be better to go for the 1997 model, since it was the first year, or just go with whatever I prefer?

They are all good the 97's are faster than the other years.
Try and find one with add-on's and the factory saddlebags are also great to have.
It's hard to find any aftermarket parts for the first generation Valkyrie and if you do your going to pay a lot.
Also make sure the rear end has been serviced.
There is group of Valkyrie owners in Florida than would help you finding a bike.

I read that the post 2000 models were slightly slower than the 99-97 model years canít recall the exact reason but I remember it sounded plausible at the time
