Thinking of adding to the stable - Goldwing

I really like the look of the 2018 Goldwing bagger. I have seen the price drop to 15K and this is a price I can almost afford. I have never thought of my self as a Full Dress Goldwing, but this new version is sleek, fast and I like it. I just don't know if I want to be divorced over it. The Valk was a major argument and my wife is still miffed about my getting it against her wishes. But a man has to do what a man has to do.

I like the Ardent Red model. Just venting, but who knows I may have a weak moment and go for it.

Got the blue 2014 Valk and an Ardent Red 2018 Tour DCT and I love both. Would never sell the Valk. The way to handle the wife is to tell her to get a second job.

Negotiate. Make a deal. You gotta give to get. BTW, I agree - very tasty proposition the current Goldwing bagger. However I still just like the rawness of the Valkyrie. Very simple machine but a very classy one - best combo to my taste.

I didn't ask permission either. I just rolled up on the bike. My neighbors still talk about that afternoon. Ah the memories...

Your wife; your situation, but I do like the 2018 Wing. I have a Valk but my father has the new Wing, DCT (Arthritis leading him to the automatic), and it is a beautiful bike to drive. He has had nearly every version of the Wing and subcategories over the past 20 years, and he claims this is the best. For the record, he also had a Valkyrie, a Rune, a F6b, and other versions of Goldwing. I like the vastly simplified dash (the F6b and older wings had way too much cluttered/ old looking dials), and the other quality of life (suspension) changes. Beautiful bike.

I realize it's 2020, but only $15K for a 2018?! That must be used, right?
Do ya'll think there are 2018's still around with no miles, as was the case with the 2014?

16.3k for a new one here. I have used this dealership before. Decent folks. Probably will be 18k out the door, realistically.

Not bad! And I like that they list the Category as "Sport Touring"

They are beautiful looking bikes, but I have my Valk just the way I like it. What are you really getting with the new wing? It will be the same crap in a different pile. After a couple of weeks of being that much poorer and possibly divorced. You will be wondering why you spent the extra cash. If my bike got stolen or crashed, then I would get the bagger.
